I just love saisons in the spring. I wasn't going to post this one because I posted something very similar last spring (see my Sorachi Saison post), but I made a few tweaks to this recipe and am really happy with the results!
The changes to the recipe from last year include addition of a bit of rye to the malt bill, and the use of Mosaic in addition to Sorachi Ace. I really love the assertive lemongrass flavors of the Sorachi Ace but I feel like the Mosaic added some interesting tropical notes and balance. That and the substitution of Belgian Saison yeast - I think I used Abbaye in the last batch. This batch has some really nice bubblegum notes and I think the rye gave it some added "crispness" in the mouthfeel. Check out the recipe here https://share.brewfather.app/q9yP85RoYvp530
At 6.2% this one is a nice refreshing easy drinker. I will definitely include it on my list of go-to spring brewing styles.
Cheers and happy spring!
Wow really clear and beautiful looking beer, nice background too!
Sounds like some interesting complexity in your recipe. I would love to try it! nice job
