This recipe was a "use whatever we have on hand" last minute mash up. I had enough Golden Promise for a 3g batch, so I added some wheat, Vienna and CaraMunich 1. The only hops I had that even remotely resembled a UK beer was Cascade, so I went with that.
Mash - 1 hour 152F
Boil - short and shoddy 30 minutes
Fermented at 90, ramped down to 80 over a day or so
Not sure if this is really a British Bitter (malt bill is mostly British) or a Red Ale (Cascade hops).....

After 12 hours, it was going crazy already. Should be done pretty quickly. Pretty happy to brew with Kveik during the summer months since I only need to cool down the wort to around 95F. Amazing stuff, I want to try a more traditional lager style and make a pseudo-lager with Kveik soon.

Tasting
Aroma: Grainy and Sweet
Appearance: Nice lacey head that stays fairly long, very clear, copper color
Taste: Very nice. Actually tastes like a British Ale, likely due to the Golden Promise malt. Nice balance, light-medium body. I do pick up the Cascade hops slightly, more as a front end piney bitterness. Refreshing and nothing stands out, not exciting but very good.
