Update 3/1/23: The votes are in for round 1 - Lite Beers!
This past weekend, John Armstrong and I decided to brew a doppelbock called "Lenten Bread" for the spring beer season. While brewing, we went ahead and did a blind taste test of the following beers:
Michelob Ultra
Coors Light
Miller Lite
Radeberger Pils
While it was alot of fun rediscovering these macro light beers that we haven't tried in decades, it also became crystal clear that American macro lagers are in the "little league" compared to the complex and delicious German lagers... Wasn't even close. Needless to say, Radeberger was the overwhelming winner. Crisp and clean with a floral and mild honey flavor. Fantastic beer, especially if you can find the Zwickelbier version which is unfiltered.
But that was to be expected.....
Moving on, John and I had unanimous agreement on the #2 best beer of this tasting: Miller Lite. It kinda tasted like beer, with the cleanest malt profile and least aftertaste. I'm not saying it was "good", but it was tolerable and I could imagine myself drinking one on a hot day if there was nothing else to drink other than donkey urine...
Michelob Ultra basically tasted like water and Coors Light had an awful cardboard aftertaste that neither of us could get past. Just terrible.
All joking aside, Miller Lite wasn't bad and it will be my go-to beer in a bar where macro beer is my only option and I'm wanting a Light Lager.
Stay tuned for our next tasting featuring Coors Banquet, Bud, Miller High Life and PBR...
Please vote for which American Macro Lagers (or light lagers) we should taste test to see if there is any hope for enjoying these beers... Please pick 4
Which 4 Macro Lagers should we taste test?

You can vote for more than one answer.
Looking like it's gonna be Coors, Coors Light, Miller High Life, Miller Lite...
Any chance we can pick a date for this tasting and do it as a zoom event and maybe stream it to the site? I was thinking maybe a Sunday afternoon??
